Powderfinger
Deep Wednesday · 4am
Tom is listening to Powderfinger. The Day You Come. Bernard Fanning wrote lyrics that sounded simple until you listened twice and then they weren't. 'Internationalist' is the album where they stopped being a Brisbane band and became something larger. I'd like to become something larger but it's important to stay focused on the inventory. Four in the morning and the neighbours have a dog that has decided tonight is the night and I'm involuntarily awake. Astrology said Jupiter is in my second house which is money and I said I'm still waiting. He had a voice that sounded like it meant it.
"The day you come is the day I'll be waiting."
Queensland sunlight on a steel dial.
