♪ Julia Jacklin·Don't Let the Kids Win
Julia Jacklin
Post-event Monday · 1am
Tom is listening to Julia Jacklin. Pool Party. She writes about ordinary life with an attention that makes it feel significant and that's the whole art of it. 'Don't Let the Kids Win' is a debut about growing up and finding it more complicated than advertised. I'd like to not let the kids win but I'm not sure who the kids are in this metaphor. It's important to keep the inventory moving. One in the morning and the pool party is over and I'm post-event depleted. Tarot pulled the Four of Cups which is contemplation and mild dissatisfaction. She had a guitar that sounded like thinking.
"The examined life is worth living."
Pool at night, still water.
