Tom is listening to Archie Roach. Took the Children Away. He wrote a song about the Stolen Generations and it's one of the most important songs in Australian history and it should be taught in schools and it isn't always. 'Charcoal Lane' is an album about survival and it earned every note. I'd like to understand more but it's important to keep listening. Two in the morning and the listening is ongoing and I'm historically accountable. Tarot pulled the Star card which is hope after trauma. He had a voice that carried the weight of what it was describing.
"Until the lion learns to write, every story will glorify the hunter."
Charcoal lane, late and quiet.
